Alaskan Halibut in Chicago and Naperville

Just for the Halibut!
Even though, we tend to be meat and potato people in the midwest, halibut season is here just in time to expand our taste buds! So what does that mean?  Well, Pacific halibut is one of the largest flatfish found in the pacific coastal waters from California to Alaska.  It is only available fresh for a period of time from March until November.   Why eat frozen fish that looses its flavor in the freezer, when you can eat fresh snow-white meat that is flaky, tender, and firm at Catch 35.  We only source our halibut from Alaskan coastal waters because it has the best texture and flavor.  Halibut is a versatile fish that can come in a variety of preparations.  Here at Catch 35, we will have a seared halibut t-bone with spicy Szechwan pepper butter or a gilled halibut filet served with lemon-pistachio pesto, Mediterranean salsa and tomato quinoa;  in addition to a few other preparations of this fresh saltwater fish.  For those diners looking for healthier options when eating out, halibut is the perfect fish for you.  Halibut is low in saturated fat and sodium but a great source of protein and minerals.  And just in case you are only a meat and potatoes person, then Catch 35’s versatile menu can fill your hunger void with our premium cut steaks. Chef Eddie suggest trying the Bone-in Rib eye which is the juiciest most flavorful cut which is grilled to perfection with the smooth and savory veal demi-glace on top of whipped and zesty mashed potatoes.  Bone-in ribeye, filet mignon, New York strip are among the choices you can enjoy.  Hope to see you soon!
